Learning the ropes? We're learning dots and dashes!
Our Gond Workshop was filled with the magic of learning and it was also a lot of fun.
We had a lot of laughs, a lot of coffee, and of course, managed to do a lot of painting, sharing a conversation that was as colourful as the art itself.
It was our greatest pleasure to host Choti and Santosh Tekam all the way from Bhopal!
The talent of Indian artists is something that has to be seen to be believed and that is what Choti and Santosh brought to the table on Saturday.
Vishpala, as always, was a terrific host and we are happy to conclude yet another successful workshop with the Ekibeki Association.
Now back to the part about dots and dashes... Did you know that patterns of dots, dashes, waves,
Trishuls etc are what bring life to a Gond painting?
Artists may create their own pattern and use it as a signature style.
We are so happy to say that many eager learners found their signature style while painting with us. We wish them all the best!
