Women InSight 2.0

About Women InSight

Last Women’s Day, we gathered for the first Women InSight, an evening of honest voices and open hearts. This year, we returned, not to repeat, but to go deeper. On Women’s Day 2026, the Baaya Experience Centre became the backdrop for something quietly extraordinary. Three remarkable women, Shibani Dasgupta Jain, Bharati Dasgupta, and Vinita Gurasahani Singh, took centre stage, to share something far more personal, the real stories behind their journeys as featured in The Spark Within. The evening unfolded gently, the way the best conversations do. Thought-provoking. Joyful. Meaningful. Ideas that matter to our world today found their way into the room, and everyone who was there left carrying a little more than they came with.

The Women Who Took Centre Stage

Bharati Dasgupta Co-founder, Aagam. Her life’s work has been rooted in the belief that communities hold the power to transform themselves. As co-founder of Aagam, she has been a quiet force behind some of India’s most meaningful civic initiatives, building bridges between people, ideas, and possibilities for change.
Shibani Dasgupta Jain Founder, Baaya Design & Hand for Handmade. She has spent decades championing the beauty and dignity of handmade craft. Through Baaya Design and Hand for Handmade, she has created spaces where artisans are celebrated, not just as makers, but as storytellers of culture and tradition. Her journey is one of creativity meeting conviction.
Vinita Gursahani Singh Founder, We, The People Abhiyan. Her work is deeply tied to the idea of active, engaged citizenship. Through We, The People Abhiyan, she has inspired individuals and communities to step forward, to take ownership of the world around them and to believe that ordinary people can, and do, create extraordinary change.

About the Book — The Spark Within

The Spark Within is an anthology unlike most. 30 authors. 30 lives. 30 sparks.
Each one of them is a changemaker, working on the ground, within communities, through organisations they’ve built or movements they’ve joined. Their stories don’t read like case studies. They read like truth, messy, moving, and deeply human. This book captures the hope and the despair, the breakthroughs and the quiet setbacks, the laughter and the learning that come with choosing to work toward a better world. It is a living record of real people creating real impact, preserved for this generation and the next to read, relate to, and be inspired by.
If Women InSight gave you a glimpse into a few of these stories, the book invites you into all thirty.
